The point at which the four linguistic and cultural regions of Switzerland meet, the San Gothard massif, is one of the most important places in this country.
The road traversing it has always been the most rapid transit route between the North and the South
of Europe.  For this reason it has played a decisive role in the birth and development of the Swiss Confederation.  No other place was better designed as the Pass St Gothard Museum.

Going to the St Gothard is in itself a marvellous experience.

The new road over the Pass, open at principle as from the month of June, goes through landscapes of a wild splendour.  It is one of the great Alpine passes.  So, in summer and in the autumn, forget about the
tunnel:  come over the Pass and visit the National St Gothard Museum. You will retain an unforgettable recollection of it.
