In an unassuming building - where sheets for Wormwood Scrubs used to be laundered - te trestle tables and bustle at Westerns Laundry in Highbury create a befriend -your-neighbours atmosphere; the impressive wine list might even tempt people to share the bottle around.  Gossamer strips of Iberica last all 30 seconds on our table and runner beans, mustard dressing and hazelnuts is a feast in itself.
Vegetable highlights include spiced carrots with yogurt and coriander, and the gnudi with lemon, courgettes and basil has a pudding - richness. Fish is lauded here, particularly the sardines, but save room for the chocolate, caramel and nuts, chicy sized for a memorable ending.
