Klosterneuburg Monastery - Vienna, Austria


In 1114 Klosterneuburg Monastery was founded by Leopold III, the Saint.
For over 900 years it is sacred and cultural centre as well as producer of excellent wines. The Babenberg like the Halsberg resided here. This political importance is manifested to the Archducal Coronet , the holy crown of the country.  This endowment celebrates in 2016 in 400-year-old jubilee the Monastery appreciates this with an annual exhibition.

The highlights of sacred art and the basics of the history of the Monastery.

Habsburg Tour
Stroll by the imperial apartment of Charles VI through the marble hall up to the Austrian archducal
coronet.
Winter:     daily at 1.30 pm
Summer:  daily at 1 pm

Museum Tour
The monastic art collections from the Babensberg family tree up to the gallery of modern art.
Summer  daily at 11 am

Wine Cellar Tour
Cellar complex over four storeys of Austria's oldest wine estate, including wine tasting in the wine shop.
Winter / summer:   daily at 3 pm
