Charlie Chan is something of a Cambridge institution.  For more 30 years this family-run restaurant in the city centre has continued to maintain high standards, offering great food and efficient service, much ti the delight of a very loyal local following.

Spread over two floors, Charlie Chan provides fresh , homemade dim sum , which the local Chinese
community flock to enjoy.  Although the menu is perhaps shorter than those often found in London's Chinatown, the quality of the lunchtime dim sum is second to none.  The atmosphere in the casual ground floor dining room is like something straight out of Hong Kong with lots of chatting in between diners and staff giving the place a real buzz.

By contract, the plush upstairs dining room provides more formal ambience - with a capacity of 90
it's perfect for special celebrations. Live dinnertime jazz, which features every Friday and Saturday
evening between 8pm and 11.30pm, can be enjoyed while perusing  a menu combining familiar favourites with the more exotic dishes favoured by Chinese guests - including students yearning fot the flavours of home-cooked food. Whatever your preference, there is a great selection for everyone, including vegetarians and those with gluten-free requirements.

For real homemade Chinese food in Cambridge, it has to be Charlie Chan.
