The wetland environment centre is the first building within the Nature Station
master plan conceived by Solearth for the 65 acre farm and wetland area in Co Monaghan. It provides a new restaurant, seminar rooms and support facilities
for the experiencing and studying of wetlands and migratory birds.

Lough Muckno Leisure Park - Castelblayney. Several small walks, parking, picnic area, toilets and there is a bar and restaurant in Hope Castle.
Hollywood Park - 7 km from Monaghan(off Ballinode - Scotstown Road).

Dartry Forest (Bellamont Forest Park) - Rockcorry (1.5 km from Cootehill).
Walks in Dartrey and Bellamont Forest are available, the forest is
bordered by a famine wall which stretches half way along the
road from Cootehill to Rockcorry.
Fane River Park - Inniskeen, Offered peace seekers an opportunity to pause for a rest or a picnic, or take a walk along the road from Cootehill to Rockcorry.
Billy Fox Memorial Park - Shantonagh. The Billy Fox Memorial park is located 5 km along the Coothill to
Ballybay route where there are some good forest walks.
Derrygorry / Favour Royal Peoples Millennium Forest - Emyvale.
These two woodlands are essentially part of one forest since they lie beside one
another on both sides of the border approximately 15 km north of Monaghan
town. Walks, picnic areas, etc are available.
Emy Lough Emyvale - Located just outside Emyvale, the well maintained lake complete with recreation and
picnic area makes Emy Lough a good place for a relaxing break or a stroll
