Stockholm was founded in ther 1200-century with The Old Town / Gamla Stan as the oldest parts.If you want to really experience the city, then Gamla Stan is just the right place.It has Stockholm's largest selection of restaurants, tourist shops, museum's  and studios. You will find many delightful pathways to stroll around and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, Vasterlanggatan is one of the most popular streets and stretches from Mynttorget to Jarntorget. The street is lined with tourist shops and here you casn buy almost everything imaginable. Stockholm's narrowest street is Marten Trotzig Grand, and the narrowest point is only 90 centimeters wide.

Old Towns most famous building is the Royal Castle, one of the biggest in Europe with imoprerssing 608 rooms. The castle you see today is a reconstruction on top of the old castle Three Crowns that tradgically burned down year 1697.  The castle today holds  four museums; The |Treasure Chamber, the Royal Armoury, Gustav 111 antique museum and the museum Three Crown

There are also many churches well worth a visit such as; The Great Church which was used for the royal wedding and The German Church known for its beautiful glass paintings.  You can also visit the Riddarholms Church which was inaugurated around 1300 and is one of the city's oldest buildings.
