Marsaxlokk Bay is the second largest natural harbour. It is the best place to meet the colourful traditional Maltese fishing boats, the Luzzu, with the mythical eye painted on their bows.
The village is the island's main fishing harbours; its Sunday market a fascinating insight into local life
and traditional industry. The stalls brim with the night's catch - fish of all sorts and sizes.
The village itself has many good fish restaurants.
Half Day trip to Marsaxlokk open market.
Departing from Sliema Strand, we cruise south, pass the Grand Harbour, Rinella Folm Studio, Marsakala Bay and St Thomas Bay to Marsaxlokk, wherer we stop for 2 hours. During the return trip to Sliema we will cruise by the Malta Freeport and Pretty Bay Birzebbuga.
