Nestor Hotel - Ayia Napa, Cyprus

Location is king for this hotel. A-5minute walk from the front door gets you to the centre of Ayia Napa, with its numerous restaurants, bars, clubs. The town's white -sand beach is the same distance away. It starts by the pretty marina and unfurls along the shore for a kilometre. Back at the hotel, meanwhile, there's a big, rectangular pool with Jauzzi's jets. There's a pool bar here, too, where you can try the local wine, spirits and cocktails. Inside, the bedrooms are a fair size, decorated in pastel shades, and finished off with clark-wood furniture.
