The Swedish Museum of Photography Part 1 - Sweden
- In Full Light
21.11 - 15.3 2015
A flat tyre in the desert kick started Herb Ritts' career as one of the world's most sought after fashion photographers. With his graphic and powerful imagery he also developed into a popular
portraitist who got artists and models to open up and reveal their selves. In Full Light is a retrospective exhibition never before been shown.
- Photogram
6.2 - 5.4 2015
Ewa Stackelberg's personal universe emerges in the dark room. Employing light, chemicals and
objects , but no camera, she creates images imprinted by real life experiences. The exhibition is a
restrained yet colourful encounter between stage designer Ulla cassius' distinct spaces and Ewa
Stackelberg's photograms. Together they have created a meditative total experience that is open for your own interpretations.
- Martin Parr
Souvenir
20.3 - 7.6 2015
In one of martin Parr's projects there is an image of a volume button. It serves to illustrate his
oeuvre. Martin Parr turns up the volume in order to portray a world where there are no limits
to how much we exploit and consume, whether it is material things or artificial experiences. With
humour and ultra-saturated colours. martin Parr's images critique the contemporary culture of
consumerism.
- Andres Serrano
Redemption
13.3 - 17.5 2015
Andres Serrano's works are beautiful in their perfection. And often provocative. Inspired by
renaissance painting and religious art, he challenges the viewer with taboo subjects such as sex
and religion. Serrano portrays the homeless, the dead and the symbols of the Church. A crucifix submerged in yellow liquid caused wide-spread controversy. Entitling his work Piss Christ, Andres
Serrano wrote himself into art history. The exhibition is presented with the support of Galerie
Nathalie Obadia, Paris/Brussels
- Adi Nes
12.12 - 8.3 2015
Adi Nes' carefully staged works draw inspiration from art history, scenes from the bible as well as from the complex political situation in Israel. Adding his personal experiences growing up as
young as a homosexual man in Isreal, and from serving in the Israeli army. Adi Nes creates layer
upon layer of history, religion, politics and sexuality, that opens for a variety of interpretations.
- The Restaurant
Fotogratfiska's new restaurant is not an ordinary restaurant . There is no traditional menu, but a vivid food experience for all senses. Simple ingredients of high quality are hand picked around the
corner, following the season. Cooked and combined based on colour, form, aroma and texture, the menu consists of a variety of small vegetable dishes.
You can also choose some meat or fish as an addition to your meal, but in our restaurant the meat is a side dish to the vegetables, not the other way round.
Our lunch has also a clear focus on the green, organic and locally produced. Mondays - Fridays you compose your lunch from the vegetable buffet combined with the daily special from the kitchen
During weekends you can enjoy a good soup or slow-cooked stew.
