Safety on board
Welcome on board. We hope you'll enjoy the crossing and would like to ask you to read this leaflet carefully. Please also study all the safety information on board. Do ask the staff if anything seems unclear; or if you'd like further information about safety on board.
Car passengers
Passengers travelling with their cars/caravans are not allowed to be in their vehicles nor on the car deck during the crossing. Please apply your handbrake. No smoking or fuelling on car deck. Calor gas trunks must be open and the main valve of any gas bottle shut. Loudspeakers will inform you when its time to go down to the car deck again.
In Case of emergency
Stay Calm!
1. General Alarm
The General Alarm is sounded in the event of an emergency which may necessiate leaving the ship. Go to the muster station. Follow the instructions given on the loudspeakers and by the crew.
2. Follow the escape-route signs to the muster station.
Put on your outdoor clothes. Go to the muster station. Escape routes are clearly marked.
Do not use elevators
Leave your luggage behind.
In case of smoke. Proceed on all four.
3. Follow the crew's instructions at all times.
In the event of general Alarm, each crew-member has a specific task. Staff whose job is to guide
passengers will be wearing a green jacket.
4. Life Jackets
They will be distributed by the crew.
