Kaknastornet is situated in Ladguardgardet and is surrounded by a unique environment: Ekoparken. The park is the world's first city national park. The concept behind Ekoparken is to maintain a green oasis within Stockholm with a unique blend of nature and culture.
Sweden's TV-Tower
The Tower's location in Ladugardgardet was not by chance. Kaknastornet must be near the local radio and TV facilities because the tower is the broadcast beacon for nearly all radio and TV signals in the country. The Tower houses Teracom's operating center, which day and night connects and supervises all programming that goes out over Sweden's ground network.
Exciting Architecture
Kaknastornet is an exiting tribute to architecture of the 1960's. The tower was created by architects Hans Borgstrom and Bengt Lindroos. Construction began in 1963 and was completed in 1967. Take notice of artist Walter Bengtsson's creation. Spelrum Futurum, located in the entry hall. The concrete
relief is in copper, nickel and enamel and symbolizes radio and television waves. The ornaments pay homage to technology.
Ten minutes from the City
Bus 69 69K runs via T-centralen and Nybroplan, a 10-15 minutes ride. You can also take the Hop-on Hop-off Bus

If you travel by car, take Djurgardsbrunnsvagen to Kaknasvagen and turn in on Mork Kroken. There is plenty of on-site parking.
Restaurant
The kitchen features Swedish / International cusine and the chef's pride themselves on using fresh local ingredients, all prepared with tradition and care. We serve both lunch and dinner.
On the weekends, you can take a leisurely stroll on Djurgarden and then join us for a memorable brunch high above it all. naturally every table features a spectacular view.
Bar & Cafe'
Up here among the clouds you can smell the freshly baked bread and pastries. Take the elevator to the 30th floor and relax on one of our plush sofas. How do your like your coffee?
We have everything from Swedish brewed coffee to Italian cappuccino, if you prefer something
stronger, we heartily recommend our wide array of refreshments from the bar.
