The Mountains - Ascona Locarno, Switzerland

Leaving the lake region and travelling into the valleys, you will note that the landscape changes radically. From the summit of Cardada and Cimetta, right above Locarno, the view over Lake Maggiore, the valleys and the Alps is absolutely breathtaking. The Centovalli Valley is one of the favourite destinations of hikers: this valley can also be visited taking a suggestive small train. The secluded
Onsermone Valley is characterized  by an ensemble of charming villages, chosen by numerous
international writers and artists as their home. The Maggia Valley is a huge territory with impressive smaller side valleys, a land rich in history, with an appealing sole and peaks reaching over 3000 masl.
