This small, old-fashioned bar is located right next to the door as you come in, so you can't miss it.  Across the bar's surface slide down -to-earth home-made dishes, based on ingredients sourced in the Catalan countryside.The daily set lunch menu has an enviable reputation, but La Pubilla really wins our vote for its hearty cooked breakfasts: their fried eggs with streaky bacon, salt cod with sanfaineta (Catalan ratatouille), a tortilla ( omelette) of the day, and the orgasmic coca bread with tomato pulp will make you regret that you ever spent mornings having settled for nothing more than a coffee and a croissant.
