Located 300m above sea level, this set proudly dominates the stream of Orbiel ant torrent Gresilhou. Wall,
barbican, square tower, keep, tank, perfectly illustrate the evolution of medieval military architecture.

Le Village Medieval De Cabaret

The castrum of cabaret is the perfect example of southern <castra> who resisted the Crusaders during the Crusade against the Albigensians. It reveals today the remains of houses, with syables, blacksmiths, craftsmen's workshops, cobbled streets... as well as many objects of daily life.

Le Trou De la Cite'

The Circuit of the visit through one of the most remarkable cavities of the site: <Trou de la Cite') owes its name to the legend of an underground link from the Carcassonne to the Lastours castles.

Le Belvedere, Un Panorama Incomparable

Located 2 km from the village of Lastours, Belvedere allows visitors pressed and persons with reduced mobility to access a visit to a distance footpath.

"Lastours 4000 Ans D'Histoire"

The exhibits evoke domestic life (pots, pitchers, jugs, glasses, knives...) and are also witnesses to various activities:iron, textile crafts, agriculture, trade.

" Lastours, Des Mondes A' Decouvrir"

Organized around three themes <geology, botany, zoology> this exhibition enables us to discover an unusual environment.

Visit by a trail from former textile factory, 2h, Walking shoes recommended. The Belvedere, possible access for people with  reduced mobility.
