The Size of The Maltese Islands

The main islands of Malta are three:

Malta: the largest has an area of 246 square miles = 95 sq. mls and a population of at least 300,000.
           the maximum length of the island is about 27.3km (17 mls)
           the maximum width reaches 14.5km (9 mls)
           the shore line is 136.7kms (85 mls) long.
Gozo: The second largest, has an area of about 67 square kms (26  sq mls) and a population of about
           25,000
Comino: the smaller island , has an area of 2.5 sq kms (1 sq ml) and a population of about 50 persons.

So, The Maltese Islands, in an area of 315.5sq kms (122 sq mls) and a population of 325, 468persons.
                                       The density of about 1032 persons per sq. kn (2677 per sq. ml)
So, as you see, Malta is the country with the highest population density in Europe after Gibraltar
