The Heartland of Prosecco D.O.C. - Valdobbiadene, Italy

Origins:                 Valdobbiadene most likely owes its name to the river Piave
Old Town Centre:    The main square of Valdobbiadene called Piazza Marconi, hosts a Cathedral dating
                               from the 14th century.
There are two important annual events held at Villa dei Cedri for wine experts and
enthusiasts: "Calici di stelle" in August, and "Forum Spumanti d'Italia" in September.
Continuing along Via Piva, at number 53, we find a Palace named after Celestino Piva
                               inaugurated on October 1, 1900.
Heading south from the town centre, you reach Via Garibaldi, where the Church of San
                               Gregorio Magno in Coldereove stands.
The Heartland of Prosecco DOC:
The whole territory of Valdobbiadene is one of the most prestigious areas for the
production of D.O.C. Prosecco- today's most popular Italian wine throughout the
                                 world.
Nature:                       Valdobbiadene an ideal start is to head north to the mountain of Pianezze, where
they can enjoy nsome charming panoramic views.
To the south towards Valdobbiadene, in the village of Bigolino, lies the
naturalistic area of Settolo Basso a track of approximately 5 km whose flat
landscape features many streams, springs, flora and fauna typical of wetland
                                  environments.
