Tunnara Museum (Westreme Battery)
Westreme Battery was built during the reign of Grandmaster Perellos in 1716, as one of Malta's coastal fortifications. During the Second World War, when Malta was under the British rule, a beach post and a searchlight room were added. After the war, it was solely used by the fisherman as a Tunnara store. This unique museum is managed by Art Club 2000, a non profit organization under the patronage of the Mellieha Local Council, to revive the History of the Battery and the story of the Tunnara.
How to get there: By Bus Nos. 44 and 45 from Valletta main station.
