Swiss Tropical Gardens
Hundreds of colourful, tropical butterflies belonging to approximately 70 different species are flying freely around you in a lush garden. Discover their eggs, caterpillars and pupae. Meet touracos, hummingbirds
and an array of different fish species.
Take a walk through Papiliorama's Nature Reserve in Central America thanks to Judge Trek, an exact copy of the 11000 hectares of the protected area of Shipstern, in Belize. Amidst tropical dry forests, mangroves and ponds, you will be taken on an exciting tropical journey, accompanied by toucans, roseate spoonbills, iguanas etc. Highlight : the 7m high panorama bridge.
Nocturama
Discover the fascinating world of the nocturnal animals in the tropical forests of America in the atmosphere of a fullmoon night.
Observe sloths, owl monkeys, anacondas and numerous other species during their nightly activities and learn all about the astonishing adaptation of these animals to life in the dark.
Arthropodarium
Tarantulas, stick insects, scorpions, praying mantis and millipedes are presented like living jewellery. Discover the mysterious arthropods and their way of life!
Animal and Child
In contrary to the butterflies and inhabitants of Nocturama, children can here approach and caress the animals as they wish: donkeys, goats, dwarf pigs, rabbits and chicken.
Swiss butterfly garden
Pure nature in the outside zone of the tropical complex! indigenous butterflies in natural habitants such as dry meadows, moist shrub edges as well as arid stony meadows in the Swiss Butterfly Garden.
The adjacent bird observation hut allows a glimpse into the world of waterfowl living on the "Silver Lake"
Plongo Plaza
A large natural playground where our youngest visitors can climb and jump as they wish. Additionally, picnic-spots allow for a moment of calm in a natural environment.
