A Break in Dinant, daughter of the Meuse
Whatever your expectations, Dinant will exceed them. the Mercure Hotel has devised two
programmes from which to choose. first, for the culture-vultures among you, the Dinant Tour,
including a visit to the Citadel via cable-car a visit to the "Marvellous" Cave, whose name evokes
the beauty of the bowels of the earth, then, of course, the unmissable river cruise to see the
splendid views of the town from the water. And for those of you who don't really "do" culture,
and prefer sports and the outdoors, there's the Dinant Adventure, which will take you to a wooded, 14-hectare former quarry, with 40 monkey-bridges to cross, a "death ride" and an underground route, in all, two-and-a-half hours of activities designed to get that adrenaline flowing!
there are so many tourist attractions nearby that it will be difficult to choose what to do on the day before or after your programme, but consider visiting the famous Annevoie gardens, or going for a
rail-bike ride or a mountain-bike hike, or take the 20-minute drive to Namur, a charmingly
traditional town, whose historic centre offers many excellent streets to stroll along and to shop in.
