Carnival Celebrations in Valletta and Floriana

Friday 12 February - 16.30 - 20.00 hrs: Street parade and dancing competitions in Valletta,

including the King Carnival float, masks, band and

carnival dancing companies.

Saturday 13 February - 10.00 - 23.00hrs: Carnival non-competitive dancing programme

and defile in Valletta, followed by defile with the

participation of King Carnival Float, triumphal

floats and dancing competitions. A late night

defile and night carnival will take place in Floriana,which will also include the "Kukkanja"

Sunday 14 February - 13.00 - 18.30 hrs: Gran Carnival Show, with Gran Defile from

the Granaries, Floriana, to Castile Place,

Merchants Street, St.John's Street, Republic

street, Freedom Square and St. James Ditch

Monday 15 February - 10.00 - 20.00: Carnival Parade in Valletta with the participation

of a Carnival Band and children's dancing groups

in costume. Activities in Valletta continue in the

afternoon with a street Parade composed of King

Carnival float, masks and all dancing companies.

Tuesday 16 February - 10.00 - 20.00 : Carnival Band parade with the participation of

children's dancing groups in costume. The final

Carnival Defile with all participants begins in

Valletta at 17.00. The Gran Finale at St. Anne

Street, Floriana, begins at 18.15.
