"Old" Bern, too acknowledges this proud jubilee of the oldest Swiss settlement in the U.S.A.
After all, the Berenese emigrant Christopher de Graffenried was the one who founded New Bern in 1710. Action leader in Bern is the Association "300 Years New Bern" composed of members of the de Graffenried Families, the City of Bern, the Bern Community of Burghesses, the Swiss
Americian Historical Society, Bern Tourism and additional partners.
The Exhibition "New Bern, North Carolina - 300 Years Daughter City in America" in the Cubus
of the Historic Museum Bern and New Bern are expected to further improve with this Exhibition and mutual official visits.
