An Adventure for the family.
The glasswork was established 1817 in Hergiswit. At the time, the Stiegwart brothers found an
ideal production site at the foot of Pilatus. An economic crisis in 1975 nearly led to the closure of
the glasshouse. thanks to the employers, the local government and especially to Roberto Niederer
the Glasi was saved. Roberto Nierderer renewed the old manufacturing traditions and introduced his own personal touch to the glass design, which can still be witnessed today. In the year 1988 shortly before Roberto Niederer died, his son Robert was handed the management of Glasi.
Together with over 100 employees he is continuously developing the craftmanship.
