Don't come here expecting to find a typical sports cafe, as the name is a pun on mushrooms, and
Cafe des Spores is actually a highly original gourmet restaurant dedicated solely to hundreds
of different "shrooms". Although it is a bit of trek out to the bohemian saint-Gilles quarter, this
has to be a must for any avid foodie. Every single dish is created around weird and wonderful
mushrooms, soyou could end up ordering a "Creme Brulee" with foie gras and crepes, mussels
with chorizo and chanterelles, or a gratin of comte cheese smothered with the fungus-looking
"sparasis crepus"
