Summer Time
Summer Time was originally called "Willet Time" after a successful Kent house-builder named
William Willett.
In 1907, as he was an early riser, he noticed windows with blinds still drawn.
So, he reasoned that if , in spring, clocks were put forward than everybody would be able to
enjoy extra daylight at the most popular time - the end of the working day.
