Our curly-haired friend missed the last train home.
As his hosts had no spare room.
Their small son was tucked on the sofa, and our friend was given his bed.
Early next morning, the child rushed into the parents' bedroom, crying,
"Daddy, come and look - there's a strange dog in my bed!"
