Tablao Carmen - Spain Barcelona

TABLAO DE CARMEN right in the Andalusian Quarter of El Poble Espanyol up on the

mountain of Montjuic. This evocative village was created for the World Fair in 1929 to show

off Spain's rich architectural tradition. Today, El Poble Espanyol offers a wide range of

entertainment. When it was first opened, the renowned flamenco dancer Carmen Amaya

performed here for Alfonso XIII, the King of Spain, right on the spot where now stands the

Tablao which bears her name.

The Patio Cordobes is the perfect place to hold special events and company dinners. The

Tio Pepe Fish-Fry, with its tasty aperitifs and tapas, prides itself on its range of fried fish

typical of Andalusia. Both of these establishments have all the charm of the white -washed

villages of Spain's sunburnt south where flamenco was born.
