Spanish Kidney Beans

4 rashers sreaky bacon
1 onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, minced
1 pound minced beef
1 can tomato puree' ( 2 1/4 ounces)
salt and pepper
1 can red kidney beans (10 ounces)
Buttered breadcrumbs

Fry bacon in heavy pan.
When lightly browned, add onion and green pepper and saute' 3 to 5 minutes.
Add meat and cook until meat loses its red colour.
Add tomato puree', salt and pepper.
Add kidney beans and their liquid.
Place in a casserole.
Top with breadcrumbs.
Heat and brown top in 350F. Mark 4 oven.

Serves 4.
