Thetford is a unique hub of both historical and natural significance. Once the ancient capital of East

( a friend of Queen Victoria and the owner of the world's largest diamond). That's just the tip of the iceberg - you really have to visit Thetford to appreciate its unique and diverse heritage.

The Ancient House Museum is a Grade 1 listed Tudor merchant 's house which tells the remarkable
story of Thetford and the Brecks through a rich collection of artefacts as well as audio guides, films and animations.

Nature lovers will jump at the chance to explore Thetford Forest, Britain's largest lowland pine forest.
The forest is well known for its scarce breeding birds and mountain biking trails, and also offers a variety of visitor facilities.  Enjoy a picnic, keep the kids occupied in the adventure playground and maze, and treat yourself to a cake from the tea room.  Concerts are also held in the forest, which was
previously seen the likes of Pulp and Jools Holland perform.
