At Malaren, just 1.5 hours train journey from Stockholm, lies Kungsor. This is a historic site with a unique and beautiful nature.  The best way to experience this is to start from  Kungsudden only 5 minutes walk from the station. It is from here, at Arbogaan's outlet into Lake Malaren, that Kungsdor once grew.

At Kungsudden, Gustav Vasa established a royal manor and the building, which is well-preserved and was the female courtiers' residence, contains a folk museum, a cosy cafe with home-baked goods and an outdoor area that offers a fantastic view over Lake Malaren.with Kungsudden as a starting point, it is easy to discover the nature of Kungsor.

The Kungsor path, which travels through forest, oak trees and beach meadows is 25 km long and starts and ends at Kungsudden.  The northern section, which is 7 km, travels through the Jagarsen nature reserve.  This is a very rambler friendly area with a fabulous view from the Rundelborg rest stop and great potential for bathing in Lake Malaren.
