Founded in 1891, Skansen is the world's first open-air museum and Stockholm's only zoo featuring Nordic animals. Swedish history and earlier traditions in characteristic old houses and farmsteads. Skansen is basically a Sweden in a miniature, and the museum combines living history with exciting story telling Skansen is open all year round.
