Origins: Valdobbiadene most likely owes its name to the river Piave Old Town Centre: The main square of Valdobbiadene called Piazza Marconi, hosts a Cathedral dating from the 14th century. There are two important annual events held at Villa dei Cedri for wine experts and enthusiasts: "Calici di stelle" in August, and "Forum Spumanti d'Italia" in September.
