Ta' Rikardu - Gozo- Malta

Ta' Rikardu is a charming little place within the walls of the Citadel, in the old fortified capital of Gozo. Even though it is not really a restaurant there are a number of exquisite typical local dishes served like a mixed platter of sun-dried tomatoes, pickled onions, olives, capers, goat's cheese served with olive oil and delicious Maltese bread. Soups and other pasta dishes are also available. However do not ask for a menu, as it does not exist. In keeping with its tavern-like feel, seating is on wooden stools round small tables, it is a favourite place on Sundays with Maltese taking weekend breaks on the sister island. Finding Ta' Rikardu is easy. Once in the Citadal just look out for the wine barrel up the narrow street on the law courts side of the church. It is certainly worth a visit to sample some genuine Maltese produce. You can also buy a variety of typical food made in Malta & Gozo as well as local wines and liqueurs 4, Fossos Street Rabat, Gozo
